CircleLending's value proposition is simple—they help protect relationships from potential fallout caused by intra-family and friend-to-friend loans. Offering a unique financial product, the company had a marketplace lead but had failed to build a credible brand identity or market their products in a way that built consumer trust. Focusing initially on a single product family, the company asked mediumbold to revamp its website to better market, sell, and service the company's Handshake Plus loans.

The website needed to communicate the benefits of formalizing personal loans, position and market the products to the target audience, drive consumers to a buy decision, and design an intuitive application and loan setup process. Work within the framework of the existing site so that each site section and product can be addressed in turn.

mediumbold’s successful revamp updated the product's visual brand using imagery that promotes personal relationships, honed the marketing and sales process, and designed a streamlined purchase and setup application to guide customers through the potentially confusing process. The company was subsequently purchased by RichardBranson's Virgin USA investment group and rebranded "Virgin Money."
